    Narrow Starfish, 6 1/4 Cent
    Medcalf 2TE-4

    (1871) TOKEN Wailuku Plantation 6 1/4 Cent, Narrow Starfish, VF35 PCGS. M. 2TE-4. Produced in the Wailuku Plantation blacksmith shop in Maui for use by the plantation's employees. The half real, or 6 1/4 cent, denomination is expressed on the token's reverse by the Roman numeral VI. This unmarked and minutely granular medium brown example is well-struck in the centers and on the right borders, while the left margins are lightly brought up. Listed on page 431 of the 2020 Guide Book.
