Description
1847 1C Hawaii Cent MS62 Brown PCGS. 15 Berries. Gould-31, Med-2CC.2. Sharply struck with iridescent reddish-brown patina and a few light contact marks. The first official Hawaiian issue and an extremely popular one-year type. The official mintage was 100,000 pieces, but over 88,000 pieces were melted and in 1862 the number of coins outstanding was a small 11,595 pieces. (NGC ID# 2C52, PCGS# 10965)
