    Description

    1847 1C Hawaii Cent MS62 Brown NGC. M. 2CC-2. Crosslet 4, 7x8 berries. A single-year Hawaii denomination, the "hapa haneri" or cent was struck by Massachusetts private coiner H.M. & E.I. Richards. This example displays glimmers of remaining red though medium brown dominates. We note minor carbon along with a narrow horizontal line on the reverse near 12 o'clock. Listed on page 425 of the 2019 Guide Book.
