Pair of 10 Pesos 1873 M Uniface Trial Strikes, Medellin mint, PR65 (obverse) and PR66 (reverse) NGC, KMTS9 and KMTS10, Restrepo p. 207 (# 63). Both of these gilt bronze trial pieces (or essais to follow the very inscription present on them) are gem proofs with extremely high eye appeal. Famous French Albert Barre produced several patterns dated 1872 and 1873 for Colombia with a beautiful rendition of the liberty head. This matching pair dated 1873 is probably unique.

    Ex Frank Sedwick Collection.
