Rare XF Lord Baltimore Sixpence
Hodder 2-B, Small Head

(1659) 6PENCE Lord Baltimore Sixpence XF40 NGC. CAC. Small Head. Crosby Pl. III, 2, Breen-68, Hodder 2-B. Cream-gray legends and devices contrast with the deep gunmetal-gray fields. A well centered piece that is sharp aside from the right-side dentils. Cecil Calvert retains substantial hair detail. The insignia and the upper obverse field display unimportant marks. All Lord Baltimore coinage is very rare, especially when compared to the other contemporary American silver series from the Boston Mint. Listed on page 38 of the 2009 Guide Book. Census: 1 in 40, 3 finer (11/08).
