    St. Patrick Farthing, VF30
A Over Inverted A in QVIESCAT

(1670-75) FARTH St. Patrick Farthing VF30 PCGS. Breen-212, W-11500. Breen's "Masonic punctuation" entry with a triangular trio of dots above the church. Undoubtedly more interesting is the blundered A over inverted A in QVIESCAT. The brass splasher, intended for the obverse crown, is instead on the rim at 11 o'clock. An unusually smooth chocolate-brown example with especially sharp definition on the church. Listed on page 41 of the 2013 Guide Book.
