Thick Planchet, Hodder 2-B
(1694) 1/2 P London Elephant Token, Thick Planchet, MS63 Brown
PCGS. Hodder 2-B, W-12040, R.2. Uniform chocolate-brown patina
with hints of red provides good eye appeal to this Select
Uncirculated example from this enigmatic series. There are several
varieties of these tokens, with this one featuring a plain cross
with the dagger in the first quadrant. This piece has minor surface
abrasions, none of them notable, and a few planchet striations on
the obverse. This would be a welcome addition to most Colonial type
sets. Listed on page 58 of the 2019 Guide Book.
