(1694) TOKEN London Elephant Token, Thick Planchet AU50 NGC. Hodder 2-B, W-12040, R.2. A medium to dark brown example of this popular variety, ostensibly English but die linked to very rare Carolina and New England varieties. Void of relevant marks though the rims show scattered minor crimping. Listed on page 46 of the 2013 Guide Book.From The Dr. Charles Nelson Collection.
