Description

(1785) COPPER Bar Copper Genuine PCGS. Breen-1145, W-8520, R.4. The PCGS number ending in .97 suggests Environmental Damage as the reason, or perhaps one of the reasons, that PCGS deemed this coin not gradable. In our opinion, this coin has the details of a Good specimen that exhibits corrosion. The bars are bold, and the interlocked USA is complete, but the fields are porous, and a blue spot is noted on the upper reverse. This highly popular Early American type is listed on page 70 of the 2011 Guide Book.
