Baker-30 with Plain Rims

(1795) PENNY Washington Liberty & Security Penny, Plain Rims, Baker-30, W-11050, Musante GW-45, R.2, AU58 PCGS. This is the usually encountered variety of the Liberty & Security penny, undated with plain rims. Housed in a green-label PCGS holder, this piece exhibits mottled maroon, olive, and steel patina with traces of orange in the protected areas. A minor planchet lamination is noted in the right obverse field. An excellent example for a Washington colonial type set, combining excellent quality at an affordable price level. Listed on page 86 of the 2018 Guide Book.
