Description
(1795) PENNY Washington Liberty & Security Penny, Plain Rims, MS63 Brown PCGS. Lettered Edge, Baker-30, W-11050, Musante GW-45, R.2. These undated large copper pieces are seen with plain rims or (rarely) corded rims, and either a Plain or Lettered Edge. This is a Select Uncirculated Lettered Edge Liberty & Security Penny, with smooth and glossy chestnut-brown surfaces that merge with blue overtones toward the borders. As always, the rims are a bit uneven as is the case here, and we note a small triangular lamination on the reverse at S in SECURITY.
