    Silver Washington Funeral Urn Medal
    Near-Mint, Baker-166A

    (1800) Washington Funeral Urn Medal, Silver AU58 PCGS. Baker-166A, Dies 3-B, R.6. Two large funeral processions were staged in early 1800 for Washington, who had died on December 14, 1799. The civic procession took place on February 22, and the Baker-166 medals (in gold, silver, or tin) were worn by some of those present. A small hole near 12 o'clock is characteristic of the issue. Toned medium to deep dove-gray with a sharp strike and well-cared-for surfaces.
