(circa 1828) 1/24RL American Plantations 1/24 Part Real,
Restrike, MS64 PCGS. Newman 5-D, W-1160, R.5. An uncommonly
nice example of the American Plantations token. Whether original or
restrike, most examples show areas of dark oxidation or pebbly
surface, since the tin alloy was unsuitable for atmospheric
exposure. But the present pearl-gray and almond-gold near-Gem has
none of those issues, and the strike is sharp except on the P in
