Description
1652 3PENCE Oak Tree Threepence -- Bent -- NGC Details. VF. Noe-27, W-300, Salmon 5-Aii, R.5. 15.3 gn. No IN on obverse. The die state, undoubtedly very rare, is intermediate between Noe-27.1 and Noe-27 with a cud on the E in NEW and a straight top to the 5 in the date. Much of the GL appears to be engulfed in a die break. A deep cream-gray example with well defined centers and uneven wear on the borders. Metal is raised near an edge flaw at 6 o'clock.
