    Rarely Encountered Oak Tree Threepence

    1652 3PENCE Oak Tree Threepence VF35 PCGS. Noe-28, R.4. 15.3 grains. The reverse is choice, with all details strong. The obverse is somewhat uneven, being weak over large areas and slightly off-center. Evidence of a straightened bend much more obvious on the obverse than on the reverse. This is from the late die state with some die breaks not mentioned by Noe. Listed on page 18 of the 2002 Guide Book.
