1652 3PENCE Pine Tree Threepence VF30 PCGS. Noe-36, W-640, Salmon 2-B, R.4. 18 gn. No Pellets at trunk. All letters are clear on this unblemished middle grade cream-gray Pine Tree threepence, with the sole exception of the tops of the SA in MASATHVSETS. The obverse rosette is indistinct where a bend caused uneven wear. The tree, date, and denomination are sharp. An elusive late die state with a horizontal line (as made) through the beaded circle above the tree and minor engraving differences on portions of the left-side obverse design. Listed on page 39 of the 2013 Guide Book.
