    1652 6PENCE Oak Tree Sixpence VF Details, Holed, NCS. Noe-21, Crosby 1c-D, R.5. Noe-20 through Noe-22 are from the same die pair; Noe-21 is distinguished by the first S in MASATHVSETS engraved backward, reaching the beads, and lacking its upper half. A crude hole near 4 o'clock requires mention, and the piece has two vertical bends that cause uneven wear on the borders. A few moderate pinscratches and vertical roller marks are also noted. The tree, date, and denomination are bold. The reverse is well centered, the obverse is a bit off center toward 1:30. Listed on page 37 of the 2006 Guide Book.(#19)
