Very Fine Pine Tree Sixpence, Noe-33

1652 6PENCE Pine Tree Sixpence VF20 PCGS. Noe-33, Crosby 1-A, R.3. 27.5 grains. Noe-33 and Noe-33a are from the same dies, and are distinguished by the obverse centering. Noe-33 is misaligned toward 12 o'clock. The die state, however, is closer to the Ford Noe-33a plate coin, which also has a prominent vertical break adjacent to the 6 in the date and a spur left of the obverse N at 6 o'clock. This wavy aqua-blue example has moderate peripheral obverse verdigris, and a few of the letters near the rim are softly defined. Listed on page 37 of the 2007 Guide Book.
