Rare Mint State Pine Tree Shilling
1652 Pine Tree Shilling MS 60. Noe-1. A pleasing, rare, mint state example of this early silver issue struck in the large planchet format. Attractive medium-gray surfaces with some multicolored, iridescent overtones. The tree and date are exceptionally bold. A slight planchet clip shows at 6 o'clock and the coin was slightly buckled at striking, a normal occurrence for this issue. Mint state examples are exceedingly rare.
