1652 Oak Tree Shilling

1652 SHILNG Oak Tree Shilling AU55 NGC. IN at Bottom. Crosby 4-C, Noe-9, R.5. 71.0 gn. Sea-green and rose-red toning visits this partly lustrous scarce variety Oak Tree shilling. The tree is magnificently detailed and has no striking inconsistency. The peripheral legends are complete aside from the tops of the NG in ENGLAND. Somewhat softly brought up at 6 o'clock on each side, and the reverse has a small depression on the rim near the DO in DOM. Moderately wavy, as produced, and the reverse is misaligned a few degrees toward 12 o'clock. Listed on page 37 of the 2009 Guide Book. Census: 5 in 55, 11 finer (11/08).
