    Very Fine 1652 Oak Tree Shilling

    1652 Oak Tree Shilling VF 20. Breen-15, Noe-1. 4.48 grams. The obverse is struck a bit off-center while the reverse shows close to perfect centering. There is uneven wear evident on both sides with deep overall gray patina. Although dated 1652, it is believed that the Oak Tree coinage was produced in 1659 or early 1660. Listed on page 18 of the 1999 Guide Book.
