    1652 Pine Tree Shilling, VF25
    Large Planchet, Reversed N, Noe-6

1652 SHILNG Pine Tree Shilling, Large Planchet, Reversed N, VF25 PCGS. Noe-6, W-720, Salmon 5-Di, R.6. 69.75 grains. The late die state, sometimes called Noe-6.1, with a die break above the 6 in the date and blurry definition on both exergues. Characteristic of its roller press production, the coin has a flan wave through the center, which exhibits greater wear than surrounding areas. All legends are complete on the flan where the advanced die state allows. Pearl-white centers are bounded by golden-brown and plum-red peripheries. No detractions are readily evident. Listed on page 41 of the 2020 Guide Book.
