Description
1662 2PENCE Oak Tree Twopence--Bent--NCS. Fine Details. Crosby 1-A3, Noe-31, High R.6. 12.3 gn. Wear is concentrated on the date, but the telltale horizontal break from the top of the 2 through the A in ENGLAND confirms the rare Noe variety. Bent at 6 o'clock, causing a flan crack through the E in NEW. The obverse is misaligned toward 7 o'clock, as usual for Noe-31. Listed on page 36 of the 2009 Guide Book.Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 17, GSID# 11)
