1722 1/2 P Rosa Americana Halfpenny, D:G: REX, M. 2.1-B.1, W-1218, R.4, AU58 NGC. The early variety with DEI GRATIA abbreviated. This sharply impressed representative is deep red-brown on the obverse and a mixture of lime-green and deep olive-tan on the reverse. Some of the dentils at the right reverse border between 2 o'clock and 7 o'clock are incomplete and apparently struck through either adjustment or heavy roller marks. The surfaces are smooth and unabraded on both sides. Listed on page 39 of the 2025 Guide Book.
