Description1722 1/2P Hibernia Halfpenny, Type One, Harp Left AU55 NGC. Martin 3.7-Ba.1, W-12670, R.6. A die defect in the field to the right of George's eye is a good clue for this seldom-seen variety. Reddish-brown patina in the centers gives way to deeper coloration around the borders. The surfaces appear remarkably clean to the unaided eye. The details are crisply defined. Listed on page 42 of the 2011 Guide Book. MRB AU50.
