Harp Left, Martin 4.3-Bc.1

1722 1/2P Hibernia Specimen Halfpenny SP64 Brown PCGS. Martin 4.3-Bc.1, W-12730. Harp Left. Nine harp strings. Perhaps made for presentation purposes, this first-year Hibernia halfpenny has the appearance of a proof. The chocolate-brown fields are glossy and moderately mirrored. The strike is sharp, though hints of the granular planchet surface remain on the high points such as the cheek of King George. Listed on page 44 of the 2013 Guide Book.
