Description
1760 1/2 P Voce Populi Halfpenny XF 40 PCGS. P Before Face. Breen-232. Brown surfaces with some denticles missing due to poor centering, and the 6 repunched. A strong strike with good attention to detail. Voce Populi tokens were produced by the military button manufacturer Roche in Dublin, Ireland, and imported along with other Bungtown tokens to the British North American colonies. Listed on page 29 of the current Guide Book.
