    AU 1766 Pitt Halfpenny, Betts-519

1766 1/2P Pitt Halfpenny AU50 PCGS. Betts-519, W-8350, R.3. A beautiful walnut-brown example of this popular medal. Wear is so minimal that a clash-marked AMERICA is readable on the right obverse field. Unabraded and with only a hint of granularity. William Pitt the elder successfully argued for the repeal of the Stamp Act, which merchants despised on both sides of the Atlantic. Listed on page 50 of the 2013 Guide Book.
