    Description

Pleasing AU53 Pitt Halfpenny, AU53 PCGS

1766 1/2P Pitt Halfpenny AU53 PCGS. Breen-251. Just a hint of wear is visible on the highest points of the devices, while the pleasing chocolate-brown surfaces are uncommonly smooth for a copper piece that is well into its third century of existence. A planchet crack is evident, emanating from 10:30 of the obverse edge and ending near Pitt's nose. Listed on page 48 of the 2007 Guide Book.
