    Description

1755-A (Paris Mint) Sou Marque AU 55 PCGS. Breen-411. Like the other two 1755-A examples that we are offering in this sale, this coin displays a well formed mintmark that probably identifies it as an original. With the exception of a few isolated peripheral areas, both sides have lost the silver wash and display an even, glossy-brown sheen. The strike is slightly off center, but all devices are readily evident. An important coin for the circulated Colonial collector, this issue is listed on page 31 of the current Guide Book.

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2AUG, PCGS# 232)
