1773 1/2 P Virginia Halfpenny, Period, MS64 Red and Brown NGC. N. 20-X, W-1670, R.3. Both dies exhibit substantial peach-red color, though the open areas and high points are toned brown. A nicely struck, problem-free, and highly pleasing near-Gem of this Colonial issue, coined at the Tower of London by the Royal Mint.
