    1773 1/2P Virginia Halfpenny, No Period MS63 Red PCGS. N. 7-D, W-1480, R.2. Seven harp strings. Full Red Virginia halfpennies are rarely encountered, unsurprising given the passing of 240 years. The present Select representative is mostly orange-gold with steel-gray noted on the devices. Free from any marks, and carbon is difficult to locate. Evenly struck and attractive. Listed on page 45 of the 2013 Guide Book. Population: 5 in 63 Red, 0 finer (10/12).
