Description
1773 1/2P Virginia Halfpenny, No Period VF20 NGC. N. 5-B, W-1410, R.6. The examples without a period after GEORGIVS are less common than pieces with a period, adding to the appeal of this coin. This piece shows six harp strings within the coat of arms on the reverse. Slightly glossy chocolate-brown surfaces provide this coin with lovely eye appeal. Scattered long, thin marks appear on both sides, but are minimally distracting. Listed on page 45 of the 2014 Guide Book.From The Old New England Collection.
