Description

1773 1/2P Virginia Halfpenny, Period MS63 Red and Brown PCGS. CAC. N. 22-S, W-1550, R.5. A rising die crack on the obverse exergue aids the attribution of this better Newman variety. Traces of glowing mint red luster fill protected areas of this otherwise dark brown example. Devoid of abrasions, and listed on page 45 of the 2013 Guide Book.

Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2ATK, PCGS# 241, Greysheet# 68)
