1773 1/2P Virginia Halfpenny, Period MS63 Red and Brown PCGS. CAC. N. 22-S, W-1550, R.5. A rising die crack on the obverse exergue aids the attribution of this better Newman variety. Traces of glowing mint red luster fill protected areas of this otherwise dark brown example.
