1773 1/2P Virginia Halfpenny, Period MS64 Red and Brown PCGS. CAC. Newman 27-J, W-1585, R.2. A principally peach-red near-Gem that has mellowed to gunmetal-gray on the high points of the devices. Unabraded and attractive with an interesting strike-through on the hair above the ribbon. Listed on page 45 of the 2013 Guide Book.
