Description
1781 TOKEN North American Token AU55 PCGS. Breen-1144. This Dublin copper issue was exported to North America, the same journey undertaken by St. Patrick farthings more than a century prior. A lovely chocolate-brown piece with considerable shimmer and occasional mint-made laminations. Minor friction is noted on the face and sails, and a few virtually invisible hairlines are seen on the lower reverse. Listed on page 69 of the 2008 Guide Book. Population: 5 in 55, 3 finer (9/07).Ex: Troy Wiseman Collection, Part Two (Heritage, 1/07), lot 205.
