Description

1783 Unity States Washington Cent
Baker-1, MS63 Brown

1783 1C Washington Unity States Cent, Baker-1, W-10130, R.1, MS63 Brown PCGS. Struck circa 1820 in copper with a plain edge. This example is well-struck, with glossy, medium brown surfaces. A small carbon speck on the lower edge of the drapery above the date does not detract. Mild granularity on the obverse and remnants of parallel roller marks on the reverse are as made and not unusual for the issue. A pleasing example of this popular variety. Listed on page 80 of the 2016 Guide Book.
