    1783 Chalmers Sixpence, Fine Details
    Small Date, W-1775

1783 6PENCE Chalmers Sixpence, Small Date -- Bent -- PCGS Genuine. Fine Details. Breen-1015, W-1775, High R.6. The gunmetal surfaces are wavy and exhibit uneven wear, but the reverse motif has the sharpness of a higher grade. The Small Date variety with eight-pointed stars. In addition, two different Large Date sixpence varieties exist (W-1765 and W-1770). All three marriages have similar rarity. W-1780, previously Breen-1017, was confirmed to be an example of W-1770. The Chalmers sixpence is much rarer than the two worm shillings varieties, and any example is highly desirable. Listed on page 53 of the 2017 Guide Book.
