Description1783 COPPER Nova Constellatio Copper, Pointed Rays, Large US VF35 PCGS. Crosby 1-A, R.3. A nicely defined golden-brown example. The centers and about half of the borders are bold, while portions of CONST and TITIA have softer details. A few trivial marks are visible under a loupe on the central reverse, but a charming piece for the grade. Listed on page 34 of the 2004 Guide Book. Earlier as lot 649 in the Bowers and Ruddy Galleries catalog of The Roy Harte Collection, Part Three, sold on January 25, 1983, and cataloged in that sale as "1783 Nova Constellatio. Crosby 1-A, pointed rays with large U.S. Very Fine."
