1783 COPPER Washington & Independence Cent, Draped Bust, No Button, Copper Restrike, Engrailed Edge PR64 Red PCGS. Baker-3, Vlack 17-L, W-10360, GW-107, R.4. A lovely example of the circa 1860s W.J. Taylor restrikes that were made from new dies using original punches said to be acquired as scrap metal from the Soho Mint. This amazing proof retains brilliant red surfaces in the protected areas. An impressive addition for an advanced Washingtonia collection. PCGS Population: 2 in 64 Red, 0 finer (3/26). Listed on page 46 of the 2026 Guide Book.
