Description

1783 Nova Constellatio Copper, Blunt Rays XF45 PCGS. Crosby 3-C, W-1875, R.3. Crosby 3-C features spaced date digits and an actual 1 in the date, rather than an I. The lower rays point to the N and just to the right of the A in NOVA. The coppers were struck in Birmingham, England for circulation in America. This lightly circulated, deep chocolate-brown survivor retains strong definition and shows a couple of small marks in the left obverse field near the border but is otherwise smooth. Listed on page 66 of the 2019 Guide Book.
