1785 Nova Constellatio Copper, MS63 Brown
Pointed Rays, Large Date, Crosby 3-B

1785 C NOVA Nova Constellatio Copper, Pointed Rays, Large Date MS63 Brown PCGS. Crosby 3-B, W-1895, R.2. These non-denominated tokens were struck in England and modeled after the famous 1783 patterns designed by Benjamin Dudley for Gouverneur Morris and his coinage system. This is a late die state example with extensive crumbling on the obverse. Partial glossy luster remains over deep brown surfaces. The devices are bold. Exceedingly rare so well-preserved. Listed on page 56 of the 2018 Guide Book.
