1785 Connecticut Copper AU 50 Reverse Planchet Flaw. Mailed Bust Right. Miller 3.4-F.1. 9.54 grams. With the exception of the diagnostic die crack on the obverse and a planchet flaw on the reverse before the seated figure's head and breast, the surfaces of this example are smooth and distraction-free. A few streaks of charcoal patina are noted on both sides, but the overall appearance is one of orange-brown coloration. Nicely centered and sharply detailed for the grade. Certificate of authenticity # 142089 from the Colonial American Coin Club accompanies this lot. Listed on page 40 of the 2000 Guide Book.
