1785 COPPER Connecticut Copper, Bust Right XF45 PCGS. M.
4.3-A.2, W-2365, R.3. Ex: Ford. 145.9 gn, per its Ford
appearance, where it was described as "nicer than almost every
other one sold in the past 10 years." A medium brown piece with
ideal centering, bold legends, clear types, and an unblemished
appearance save for a slender mint-made flaw above the shoulder of
the obverse bust. Listed on page 59 of the 2011 Guide Book.
Population: 4 in 45, 4 finer (8/10).Ex: John G. Mills Collection (S.H. & H. Chapman, 4/1904), lot 229; John J. Ford, Jr. Collection (Stack's, 5/2005), lot 214, which realized $3,220.
