Impressive XF40 1785 Vermont Copper, VERMONTS Legend
1785 COPPER Vermont Copper, VERMONTS XF40 NGC. RR-2, Bressett 1-A, R.2. An attractive medium brown example that was struck from an early state of the dies, without the tornado shaped die break later seen through the date and plow. This coin is a bit off-center (less than 10%) resulting in the date and parts of the legends being off the planchet. However, the central landscape is quite nice as is the eye and rays on the reverse. The planchet, while having some small defects, is nicer than many of this issue.
