1786 COPPER Vermont Copper, Baby Head--Corroded, Obverse Planchet Flaw--NCS. XF Details. RR-9, Bressett 7-F, R.3. This is an attractive example for the variety, which usually comes with numerous extreme planchet flaws. A deep planchet flaw (as produced) behind the neck has darkly toned, the remainder of the piece has golden-brown and steel-gray patina. Traces of luster are evident when the piece is rotated beneath a light. The olive branch is clashed into the field near the profile. The reverse is slightly doubled. Listed on page 68 of the 2006 Guide Book.
