Description
1786 RR-6 Vermont Copper, VF35
Landscape Format
1786 COPPER Vermont Copper, VERMONTENSIUM, RR-6, Bressett 4-D,
W-2020, R.2, VF35 PCGS. Although this piece is imperfectly
centered and somewhat unevenly struck, it is an exceptional example
for the grade with glossy olive-brown surfaces and great eye
appeal. A minor edge flaw is noted at 3 o'clock. The Landscape
format appeared with the dates 1785 and 1786. In the latter year,
the Vermont coppers were redesigned to feature a bust on the
obverse and a seated figure on the reverse, and that new style
continued into 1787 and 1788. Listed on page 74 of the 2018
Guide Book. From The Don Willis Collection of US Colonial Coinage
