Ryder 3-G, Nicely Struck

1787 CENT Massachusetts Cent, Arrows Left, R. 3-G, W-6090, R.3, MS63+ Brown NGC. Ryder 3-G can be immediately attributed by the die lump above the Indian's left (facing) elbow. The obverse is mostly medium brown with peripheral hints of golden-brown. The reverse is primarily peach-gold though blushes of deeper toning are also present. A nicely struck and virtually unabraded representative of the popular state coinage type. Listed on page 63 of the 2021 Guide Book. For all 1787 Massachusetts cent varieties, Census: 4 in 63 (1 in 63+) Brown, 7 finer (12/20).
