    Description

1787 CONNECT Connecticut Copper, Mailed Bust Left Connecticut Copper, M. 15-F, W-2900, R.3, AU55 NGC. This is a challenging variety, but not out of reach for most pursuers of Connecticut coppers. This piece is well-detailed on the devices and shows consistent reddish-brown surfaces with a few areas of minor granularity near the borders. Planchet laminations occur on the obverse, first along the lower-right border, then at 9 o'clock, and two more on the portrait's forehead and chin, respectively. Aside from the upper-right reverse, which is weak, all peripheral legends are discernible. Listed on page 61 of the 2016 Guide Book.

    Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2B2P, PCGS# 349)
