W-3175, R.2. Ex: Ford Collection. 136.3 grains, per Ford
catalog description. This chocolate-brown representative shimmers
with luster, and the devices exhibit bold detail. The planchet is
problem-free, and the reverse appears unabraded. Good centering
with nearly complete legends, the sole exception is the base of the
date, which is partly off the flan. A loupe locates minor faded
marks on the neck and in the upper-left obverse field. Listed on
page 74 of the 2019 Guide Book. Census: 4 in 62 Brown, 2
finer (5/18).Ex: Thomas Elder, 10/1915, lot 373; John J. Ford, Jr., Part IX (Stack's, 5/2005), lot 334; Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 5/2008), lot 1941, which realized $6,325.
